Working Student - Analysis of 6-DoF Exploration Data Captured in Complex Environments (all genders)

Be part of change As part of the »Advanced Speech Research« group, you will be involved in performing empirical research on the perception and cognition of audio in an interactive virtual environment. In virtual reality, people can explore the simulated environment in both position and orientation, such that no two users produce the same trajectory. In this position, you will develop and evaluate current behavioral evaluation models to assess how groups of users explore complex audiovisual environments. Your work will then be used to analyze the exploration of participants in an empirical study, recording their movements, in a virtual reality setting while being exposed to different auditory signals. Specifically, your role will entail: Dataset Analysis: You will apply measures of behavioural analysis measures to datasets of human exploration captured in virtual reality to identify current gaps. Proposing New Methods: You will contribute to ideas about behavioural analysis capturing temporal and dimensions and entropy-related measures. Empirical Research: You will design and conduct empirical research to gather new 6-DoF behavioural data. Validation: You will perform statistical analysis of results against baseline data. Scientific Writing: You will be given the chance to contribute to publishing the research through scientific journals or conferences, in addition to showcasing your results through online datasets. What you contribute You are currently studying either a bachelor’s or master’s degree related to virtual reality, behavioural sciences, sensory sciences, or a related field. Enjoying creative and collaborative work in a multidisciplinary field and are eager to learn about topics such as virtual reality and auditory cognition. Hier sorgst Du für Veränderung Die Abteilung »Risiko- und Standortanalysen« des Bereichs Supply Chain Services SCS mit Sitz in Nürnberg analysiert seit 2019 kontinuierlich den Logistikimmobilienmarkt in Deutschland und bietet mit der Webplattform „L.Immo-online“ eine Daten- und Informationsplattform zur Analyse und Bewertung der Logistikimmobilienwirtschaft in Deutschland. Hierfür analysieren wir raumbezogene Objekte, etwa Logistikimmobilien, Brachflächen und Gleisanschlüsse. Das geschieht durch Bilderkennungsverfahren, die mithilfe von Künstlicher Intelligenz automatisiert Muster in Satellitenbildaufnahmen erkennen. Mach Daten nutzbar: Du erhebst Daten zu immobilienwirtschaftlichen und logistischen Fragestellungen und pflegst unser Geoinformationssystem L.Immo-online. Be part of change The »Optimization« group deals with methods of mathematical optimization (e.g., linear, mixed-integer, stochastic, or robust optimization) to support the planning and control of logistical and industrial processes along the supply chain and methodically related fields.
